Record Suspensions (Pardons)
Record suspensions (also known as “Pardons”) remove your criminal record from the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) database. A record suspension does not erase your criminal record, but it does mean that your conviction will not show up on a police record check.
You might need a police record check for a:
- Job or volunteer position
- Visa or other international travel document
- Citizenship application
Getting a record suspension can help you get more opportunities for jobs and education.
We provide assistance and advice on the process to obtain a record suspension. We do not charge for our services, but you may have some costs to order your records and the application fee.
